(but not exclusively!!)

  • If you are holidaying with a young family, Crealy Adventure Park is the South West's favourite family attractions with slides, rides and huge all weather play areas. My kids LOVE Crealy and its always on our list of 'things to do' each summer. You will be able to fill the whole day, whatever the weather. Often in the summer there is a promotion where you can return free of charge within 7 days of your visit. Buy your tickets online or maybe cash in your Tesco vouchers for cheaper entrance!
  • In Wellington you'll find The Wellesley, a small, independent, old-fashioned cinema which as well as showing the latest films in the New Year it stages the towns annual pantomime.
  • Swimming pool and sports centres can be found in Wellington 01823 663010.
  • Escot house and gardens is a firm favourite with my young children. It is an outdoor kind-of-a-place where wellies and old clothes are the order of the day. Take a picnic and a thermos and the children will love running around the extensive gardens and woodlands. They have a maze and if it's raining you can head to the play barn. We always have to get there for 11am and watch the otters being fed!
  • Quad World offers quad bike fun for all ages! Full tuition provided.
  • Diggerland is a unique adventure park where children and adults can drive real diggers.
  • Just outside the town of Sidmouth, The Donkey Sanctuary is home to over 400 of unwanted donkeys. Entry is free.
