Nowadays, in the light of COVID, there is an increased interested in what the refund arrangements are should you book a stay and then closer to the time need to cancel. I've prepared these FAQs to help you understand what my policy is.

What if I cancel our holiday because of a National or Regional lockdown?

If your booking has to be cancelled because Windover Farm Cottage is put under Government Restrictions and has to close and the period of closure covers the period of the booking you’ll be offered a FULL REFUND.  Similarly, in the event that the you are put into Local/Regional Lockdown, rendering you unable to travel, and the period of restriction covers your booking you’ll be offered a FULL REFUND.

What if I contract COVID, or I need to self-isolate and I can’t stay at Windover Farm Cottage?

If you or members of your group are unable to (or decide you don’t want to) travel to Windover Farm Cottage for your stay, maybe because of a Covid related reason or indeed another reason (such as a family emergency or a change in work circumstances) you will need to cancel your stay with us and the refund arrangements are:

Number of days before start of the stay

The % of hire charge which the Owner will refund

The % of hire charge which the you will be liable to pay

0 to 2 days

0% (no refund given)

100% of the hire charge

50% refund given

50% of the hire charge

100% refund given less £50 admin fee.

0% BUT £50 will be retained to cover admin fee

Therefore, I strongly recommend that you take out UK travel insurance to cover yourself and members of your party should you not be able to stay here at Windover Farm Cottage.

Will you re-let the cottage?

If you cancel your holiday, I will make every reasonable effort to relet the cottage and secure a replacement booking. In these circumstances I will refund to you the hire charge of the replacement booking, less a £50 admin fee.

Do I need to take out travel insurance?

Covid is now a known risk and it is possible for you to insure your holiday against it so therefore I strongly recommend that you take out UK travel insurance to cover yourself and members of your party.

If you choose not to take out UK travel insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.

Thank you, Sarah  xx
